What is egocentric data?
Egocentric data is footage recorded from the worker's own point of view, usually with a head, cap or chest-mounted camera. It shows what their eyes and hands see while they work, which is the viewpoint a robot will have.
What do you capture, and with what equipment?
Our core product is egocentric video at 4K / 60 FPS from EgoCAM wearable cap and chest-mount rigs. We also have stereo-camera and head-mounted footage with IMU data, and dashcam footage. ARK supplies and calibrates all devices.
Where and how is the data collected?
On real factory floors, workshops, farms, shops and homes across India, through a consented field network operating from 30+ hubs. Workers do their normal jobs while wearing ARK cameras.
How is consent handled?
Every partner site and worker is covered by a written agreement before recording starts, along with a confidentiality agreement. Agreements are made under the Indian Contract Act and cover rights, duties, data ownership, privacy and compensation.
Are people's faces visible in the footage?
Cameras are worn at head or chest level, so people working nearby can appear in the frame. What may be recorded, and how identifiable people are handled in delivered footage, is agreed with each site in writing. Tell us your requirements and we will confirm what we can deliver.
Can I see samples before committing?
Yes. Browse sample clips in our data catalog, or send us your requirement and we will share matching samples before any agreement.
Can you collect a task that is not in the catalog?
Yes. We scope a suitable partner site, record sample clips for your review, and then capture to your requirement, typically 5 to 20 hours of data per task.
What formats and metadata do you deliver?
Video as MP4 or MOV, with audio as a separate track where recorded, and sector, activity and workflow information for each activity. The exact delivery structure is agreed with you per engagement.
How is pricing set?
Per engagement, based on volume, exclusivity and delivery needs. Contact us with your requirement for a quote.
Who owns the data?
Rights are set out in the agreement with each partner site and in the licence you sign with us. We explain the full chain of consent during any procurement or legal review.
I own a workplace. How do I become a partner site?
We visit your site for free, record samples, and review them against buyer requirements. If they qualify we sign an agreement, bring and train people on the equipment, and pay you as per agreed terms once data is verified.
