Data ethics & consent

Training data is only as trustworthy as the way it was collected. This page explains how ARK Technologies collects footage, who agrees to what, and what you can expect from us as a data buyer or a partner site.

Last updated: October 2026

Written consent and contracts

Every partner site and worker signs a clear agreement covering rights, duties, data ownership and compensation.

Privacy set by agreement

Each site agrees in writing what may be recorded, and how identifiable people and confidential areas are handled in the footage.

Confidentiality

Each engagement is covered by a non-disclosure agreement. Sites decide what may and may not be recorded.

Fair, documented payment

Partners are paid as per agreed terms, by bank transfer, cash or another agreed mode, with a record of every payment.

Quality assurance

Footage is reviewed against agreed samples. Data that does not match is not accepted into a delivery.

Governed by Indian law

Agreements are made under the Indian Contract Act, with clear obligations for every party.

1. Who we collect from

ARK collects footage at partner sites: factories, workshops, shops, farms and other workplaces, as well as from skilled individuals. Participation is voluntary and arranged in advance. No recording starts until the site and the workers taking part have agreed to the terms in writing.

2. Consent and written agreements

3. What is recorded

Cameras are mounted for a first-person view of the worker's hands and workspace, so other people working nearby can appear in the frame. What may be recorded, and how identifiable people are handled in delivered footage, is agreed with each site in writing. Sites can exclude any area or process they consider confidential.

4. How capture is controlled

5. Fair and documented payment

Partners and workers are paid as per the agreed terms, by bank transfer, cash or another agreed mode. Bank transfers carry a UTR reference as proof of payment. Payment follows verification of the delivered data.

6. Quality review

Footage is checked against the samples agreed with the partner and with the data buyer. Data that does not match the agreed samples is not accepted into a delivery, and ARK may pause or close a contract with short notice if quality falls short.

7. What data buyers receive

Buyers receive verified footage under a licence agreed for the engagement, together with task and environment information. Terms of use, permitted purposes and delivery format are set out in the buyer agreement. We are happy to describe our provenance and consent process in detail during a procurement or legal review.

8. Questions, concerns and requests

If you are a worker, partner or data subject and have a question or a concern about recorded footage, or want to ask about your data, write to admin@arktechnologiesai.website. We will respond promptly and keep a record of the request.
